Abu-Ghazaleh Global Issues ‘Doing Business in Jordan, A Comprehensive Guide 2019’

AMMAN - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) has recently issued the ‘Doing Business in Jordan, A Comprehensive Guide 2019’ to encourage foreign investors to initiate their investments and businesses in the Kingdom.

HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of TAG.Global, stressed the importance of the guide, its vital importance in increasing the size of foreign investment and its contribution to economic growth and development in Jordan. He further emphasized the dire need to attract investments to Jordan particularly in light of expectations of an upcoming economic crisis in 2020 taken into consideration the privileges and incentives provided by Jordanian laws that aims at attracting foreign investments mainly projects relevant to national infrastructure.

Towards that goal, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Legal (TAG-Legal), a member of TAG.Global, undertook the development, preparation and printing of the Guide as well as initiating a marketing strategy worldwide in all, especially in Jordan and Jordanian embassies around the wiorld through TAG.Global’s more than 110 offices globally.

Furthermore the Guide tackles the legal system and courts in Jordan, how to start doing a business, legal entities and registration procedures, Development and Free Zones, in addition to the details of the required licenses for any investment. It also underlines all privileges granted to foreign investments specifically customs exemptions, tax concessions, investment insurance, Intellectual Property Rights and Trademarks.  
 
The Guide sheds light on the free trade agreements including Canada-Jordan Free Trade Agreement, EU-Jordan Association Agreement, Jordan-United States Free Trade Agreement, Competition Law, Market Monitor System, taxes, Labor Law and all related rights and obligations of employers and employees, Environmental Protection Law and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations among others.
