Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization and Jordan Engineers Association Sign Cooperation Agreement

AMMAN - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org)/ Science Gateway Cultural Center and Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) signed a cooperation agreement in the presence of TAG-Org Chairman HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and JEA President Eng. Ahmad Samara Al Zoubi.

Both parties agreed on cooperating in the provision of various services mainly in capacity building, entrepreneurship, recruitment, teaching Chinese and English languages in addition to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information Technology programs.

During the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in the Association, as the largest association in the Kingdom highlighting its significant role  in the society, noting that engineers are the main pillars in urban, industrial and technological transformation of the homeland.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that the Association’s achievements indicate its awareness of its members’ needs and those of the country at large, stressing TAG-Org’s readiness to cooperate with the Association in all fields, especially in intellectual property protection due to the fact that TAG-Org’s member company, Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP), is the largest company worldwide in this field with the aim of protecting the engineers’ innovation and inventions.

Furthermore, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and JEA’s representatives discussed the establishment of a council that studies future needs for  development of engineering education in a mechanism that generates real opportunities for graduates in this era of rapid technological advancements.

He also called for holding a national conference to discuss the development of engineering education to change its outcomes and to keep abreast of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

For his part, Al Zoubi said that Jordan has individual creative cases that need support and development to collectively contribute to the construction of the country, pointing out that the challenges and repercussions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution forced the Association to transform into a smart Association, and transform engineers’ offices and companies into smart ones to properly deal with the outcomes of this revolution.

Eng. Al Zoubi said that one of the currently proposed ideas is the formation of a national team that includes engineers and representatives of all other sectors to keep decision makers updated with the consequences of this Revolution.

Meanwhile, Eng. Al Zoubi said that the Association deals with a huge number of graduates, however, it exerts all its efforts to finding appropriate job opportunities for them in the Arab and international markets, promoting Jordanian expertise especially in the reconstruction of post-conflict countries such as Syria and Iraq.

Accordingly, the two parties agreed on forming a joint work team to study means of cooperation in capacity building, entrepreneurship, recruitment, labor market and teaching Chinese and English languages in addition to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information Technology programs to cope with labor market needs.
