Abu-Ghazaleh Patronizes Workshop for Jordan, Kuwaiti and Bahraini Military and Security Officers

AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh patronized a workshop on media for a host of officers of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) – Arab Army and security apparatus as well as officers from Kuwait and Bahrain in the presence of Director of the JAF-Arab Army Radio Station Lieutenant Colonel Fayez AlHmeidat.

The workshop, part of JAF’s advanced media training program for military officers 4, held at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum demonstrates the keenness of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) to enhance joint cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces as per the cooperation agreement signed with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat.

During the workshop, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed the significance of cooperation with the Armed Forces under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein noting that the Organization puts all its resources at the service of the JFA mainly in the field of media and fighting e-crimes.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh proposed other areas of cooperation in professional, training and educational domains which TAG-Org implements, operates and supervises such as establishing knowledge centers, teaching languages, Internet and computer programs, radio and digital media courses, in addition to various awareness programs in coordination with the relevant directorates and departments at the JAF.

For his part, AlHmeidat extended his gratitude to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his patronage of the workshop affirming the importance of the specialized training presented by TAG-Org at an international level, as it became a global organization offering professional services in various fields of expertise including training, education, Intellectual Property, and ICT.

He added that the Armed Forces embrace the Knowledge Age with a very advanced level of professionalism starting with the specialized training in the media fields, the effective presence on social networks and platforms, in conformity with the local and international laws governing this work specially the Access to Information Law.

AlHmeidat noted that the cyber wars that target civil institutions are more dangerous than the traditional ones; cyber wars start on our TV screens as their main ammunition is not bullets or missiles but the various sorts of media. 

He pointed out that the Moral Guidance Department holds two “foundational and advanced” media training courses once a year and they are a great opportunity to develop professional skills in the field of media.

He also said that such courses aim at qualifying officers working in the military and security media at the Jordan Armed Forces and security apparatus along with officers from the Arab countries to enable them to professionally deal with the media by developing their skills and capabilities. 

Meanwhile, Executive Director of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Academy Mr. Yousef Al Rawwas briefed the attendees on the mission of the Academy and the training programs it offers through all its offices particularly in the Arab states. Executive Director of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute Mr. Mamoun Abu Al Sebaa’ presented a brief about the cooperation between TAG-Org and the Government of China and the Organization’s role in teaching Chinese language and promoting Chinese culture in addition to couching some Martial Art, and Ms. Roaa Arabeyyat from TAG-Org made a presentation about media.

It’s worth mentioning that the training program organized by the Armed Forces includes theoretical and applicable training in the visual, audio and digital media, field visits to media institutions and hosting lecturers experts in the various media types.

At the closing of the workshop, honorary shields were exchanged and a field visit was organized to the participants to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Business and Culture Radio Station (TAGBC- 102.7 FM).
